Like millions of people around the world, I have found it difficult to imagine a world without Dolly Parton in it. Her music, humor, generosity, faith, optimism, and irrepressible spirit touched generations, and her example continues to remind us of the importance of dreaming, creating, giving, and making the most of the time we are given.
Dolly also touched my own life in a few special ways, the most of which was endorsing my book 88 Keys to Music Business Success. In this edition of my blog The Cabaniss Connection, I share some of those memories, along with reflections on her remarkable life, her extraordinary generosity, and the quiet courage with which she faced her final chapter. The blog is not a story about Dolly’s death. It’s a celebration of how she lived.
